Manor House Stables, set in 160 acres and converted from a cattle barn by
Michael and his wife Louise, commenced business as a training yard in March
2007 with 30 horses.
By
May of 2009, improvements to the facilities meant it had grown to
accommodate 90 horses with an impressive lounge for owners, a brand new
office and superb hostel accommodation for the staff. With further expansion
(up to 129 boxes) in 2012 and continued investment in state of the art
facilities, Manor House Stables continues to go from strength to strength.
Michael says: "My main passions in life have always been my family and
football, but I suppose a close third, as a hobby, is horse racing. The joy
of owning a racehorse is indescribable, from buying them as youngsters,
watching them develop and seeing their first visit to a racecourse.
I
have owned horses for many years and although the majority of my time is
spent training at Manchester United, whenever I have time off, if I don't
have a club engagement or family commitment, I pop down to the stables to
see the horses."
